First fisher of the year!

I love these things. Not only are the pelts valuable, but they are easy to skin n flesh. I like the smell, too. Kinda like skunk (their cousin), but sweeter...

Such nice lookin' critters. I had no idea they was related to the skunk - guess I just thought the skunk stood alone.

Cool blog. Do you do any beaver trapping. I'm looking for some info. on the best way to get rid of some beavers that are doing a lot of damage on a property I hunt. Am hoping to rid the landowner of the varmint and also to make use of the pelt and meat.
